Reflecting on the year 2020, how many times have you turned on the television and heard horror stories of individuals losing their homes and jobs, and people not knowing where their next meal would come from? How many social media posts have you seen calling for prayer warriors to pray for members of families who are sick or near death from COVID? How many announcements have you seen informing those in need of the locations for upcoming food distribution locations and requests to support the local food banks? We believe that you'll agree that there have been far too many instances.
Are you interested in taking an active role in helping to be a solution to some of the problems in your community? If so, consider joining forces with Giving Others A Dream (G.O.A.D.), an approved 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing support and outreach to persons who are in need and reside in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
The reminders of the emotional rollercoaster rides described are only a few examples of things that have negatively affected our communities and have continued to impact our communities in 2021. We continue to have students who need assistance with college tuition, and seniors, homeless persons, and veterans who need food, shelter, personal hygiene, and other essential items.
If you're interested in making a difference by becoming a member of G.O.A.D., we invite you to visit our website, givingothersadream.org to find out more information about G.O.A.D. and our accomplishments. If you have questions or concerns or would like to be considered, please visit our website’s “Contact Us” page or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We would love to have you join our team of phenomenal women dedicated to paying it forward with their time, energy, and commitment to do ‘good in our neighborhood’.
